Cruise and Stay Guide - Part 1 How to Choose a Cruise

There are many things to look out for when you are planning a Cruise and Stay holiday to ensure you get the best deal out there based on your individual requirements. There are two main ways to find and book cruise packages each with their own advantages. Firstly you can go into local travel agents which have a huge variety of cruises available with full colour brochures so you can actually see for yourself what you get included, the type of cruiser, some of the destinations you will be visiting etc.

The main advantage of booking via a local travel agent is that if you have any questions you can sit down with a customer service advisor and ask any queries you may have and they are trained to give the best advice. You can basically tell them what you want and they will tailor the package around you based on the type of activities and places you like to see. The second method to book your holiday which is becoming more popular in today's world is to book via the internet, this way is common as you can do it day or night in the comfort of your own home. The benefit of this method over the travel agents is that you can search a few companies to find the best deal whereas if you go to the travel agents you can only find cruisers offered by them which may be expensive in comparison to other travel agents.

Many companies actually offer discounts for booking online and host the cheapest prices around as it makes it easier for both the customer and travel agent as it takes less time and it mostly automated. The main disadvantage with booking online however is that if you have any questions you won't be able to get an answer straight away which may make last minute deals harder to come across. On the other hand if it is a suitable time you could always ring them up directly to ask them over the telephone, failing that you would have to email them and wait for a reply from a member of staff.

When booking a Cruise and Stay holiday it's vital to check what you get included, how much it will cost you in total and if there are any additional extras available to make sure you will get the cruise of a lifetime that little bit better for you and your family. If you have any questions it's always best to find the solution as this may influence your decision if it's not expected.
